A Hint of Fall

October 16, 2017

Happy Monday Guys!

How was your weekend? Great I hope. Mine was actually really good. Despite a slow start on Saturday I managed to run some errands and do some exploring. Sunday I meal prepped, ate some donuts, and worked on developing a budget (so exciting, I know). I also took out my camera and took some practice shots  around my apartment complex. I never told you all, but I finally took the leap and bought a DSLR over the summer. It wasn’t until the beginning of this month that I got around to taking pictures with it. It’s a shame, I know, but time has been moving so quickly!Speaking of time, can you believe we’re officially more than half way through October?! I’m here scratching my head wondering how we only have 2 months left in 2017 when it was just New Years. I can’t complain much because I love this time of the year. Now that it’s here I just want time to slow down so I can enjoy it. I also want the weather to cool down so that when I wear sweaters it’s not a form of protest. Mother Nature may be smiling on me this week though because the forecast says high 60s and 70s. An outfit like this one is perfect for this weather because it’ll keep you warm enough for that slight chill in the air but not to the point where you’ll get hot. The top, necklace, and slides are from Forever 21 and the jeans are from TJ Maxx. The shades are from Walmart and set me back a cool $5. As a matter of fact, the entire outfit was less than $80. The top was about $20, the jeans (which I’m obsessed with) were $40, and the slides were about $15. Yesss!I am looking forward to pulling out my thicker sweaters, jackets, and boots though. Praying for that 40-50 degree weather to come soon. Fortunately, for my birthday that’s coming up in less than three weeks (eek!) I’ll be in a cooler climate. Hello Windy City! I decided to go to Chicago for my birthday this year, because ultimately, I’m a fall baby and I wanted to spend my birthday in a place where it actually felt like fall. I’ve never been to Chicago before, and it’ll be a chance for me to take a moment to celebrate my birthday along with the other amazing milestones this year has held.

So if you know of the best place to get deep dish in Chicago (I’m not trying to start a fight lol), do tell!

I hope you all have a wonderful week:)
