The “Not So” Cold Shoulder

October 2, 2017

Happy Monday Guys!

How was your weekend? Mine wasn’t too bad. Saturday I grocery shopped, checked out a local art gallery, a vintage book shop, and a few antique stores. Sounds so cultured, right?! That’s how I picture adults spending their weekends in my head, so I figured I’d give it a go. I spent Sunday catching the premieres of the Blacklist and Empire that I missed last week, and I got some rolled ice cream. It was cool to see them make the ice cream, but it wasn’t game-changing. I think I’ll stick to my grocery store pints for now. This week I really want to find a gym. I have a couple leads that I need to look into. Fingers crossed that one of them pans out. I miss lifting weights and I feel like all the progress I made at my old gym is wasting away. I’m ready to get back into a routine. Other than that, I have some manuscripts that I need to work on this week and other projects that are at like 75% complete that I want to see to completion. Jesus give me strength. Now about this outfit. It’s almost entirely from Forever 21 minus the bag (Target), cuff (Old Navy) and the shades (Quay Australia). I’d been wanting a pair of overalls for a while so when I spotted this pair on Forever 21’s site it was a no brainer. Especially considering they were only $35.I wanted to dress it up a bit so I paired it with this off the shoulder ruffle top which I consider to be seasonally appropriate since temperatures are still in the high 70s and 80s and some naked sandals. Love (the outfit, not the temperatures just so we’re clear). Obviously I could just as easily dress the overalls down with a sweater and some flats. I plan to get a lot of wear out of these overalls in the coming months. Yes for low cost per wear! What are your thoughts on overalls? Do you think they’re just a trend or are they here to stay? Let me know below.

And have a great week!
