First Week on the Job!

September 11, 2017

Hey Guys! Happy Monday:)

Week 1 done! Can you believe it?! The first day was pretty awesome. I’ll start by talking about my commute. I couldn’t have asked for a better one. With the craziness that is Atlanta traffic, it took me all of 8 or 9 minutes to get to work (during rush hour). You can’t tell me my God isn’t real lol.

Next, let’s talk about chance encounters. When I first got to the office and signed in, I noticed that the name of the person who signed in before me looked very familiar. It was the name of someone who I went to high school with, but I thought surely it can’t be them. Sure enough as I get to the conference room I see that it was! Crazyyy.

If you didn’t know I’m from a small town so what are the chances that we both ended up working for the same organization, in the same location, and started on the same day?! Winning lottery ticket chances is the answer. I probably should have bought one.

Apart from that there was another new hire who started that day who will actually be on the same team I’m on. It’s been nice having another newbie there as we work to figure things out. The rest of the people in the office seem very nice, which set my mind at ease. Now for the most important topic: food. For lunches for the week I made zoodles using sweet potato and zucchini, and made a tomato sauce with ground turkey to go with it. It was simple to prep and yummy to eat. I think I’m going to record my meal preps on IG stories so follow me on Instagram (if you’re not already, get your life) if you’re looking for some healthy, simple, but not basic meal prep ideas. The rest of the week was lots of training – general training for the organization and training for the project I’ll be working on. This week I’m excited to wrap all of that up and be put to work.

To my fellow Southeasterners, I hope you are faring well with Hurricane Irma. Have a great week!
